Jamming

My first big bout as a skater for Ithaca (finally I've recovered from tearing the cartilage in my knee!). We played up in Rochester. There were about 1000 people there. I was mostly supposed to play back blocker or outside and jam a few times, but one of the main jammers broke her nose in the middle of the first half. So I subbed in for her. It was surreal hearing the commentators talking about me as I skated. I had a good time, but my legs were utterly exhausted at the end of the bout. I got knocked down so many times. Getting back up and sprinting back to the pack really wore me down. Wouldn't trade the experience for anything, though. I love how in this picture it's really evident that we are playing as a team: Rage is taking care of Roc City's back blocker for me and Thunder Vittles is watching that no one is coming after me as I skate by. :-)
