July One Skein Suprise Package...

Last week my One skein pal sent me another wonderful package. I just have to say to my pal that you've really nailed my yarn tastes! Look at the beautiul Artfibers Tsuki she got for me. It's a lovely dark teal that changes color in different lights. It's so soft. I've been rubbing it on my neck....It will make a lovely scarf. And speaking of which she also sent me this great pattern for making a drop stitch scarf.

My One Skein Pal was also kind enought to slip in some goodies. A great CD, as you can see. There are some songs that I know and love and others are by artists that I'm really glad to be introduced to. Thanks! My thoughtful pal also sent a nice foot cream to go with the hand cream she sent last time. (Ahem, it's a good thing, too. My feet need some TLC). And look at this book. She says it's a nice easy read that one of her secret pals sent to her. How neat is that!

Thank you my one skein friend!

I just picked up the 2nd book, A Good Yarn, which follows that book. I did not know at the time that the book you just got comes first. So now, I have to hunt down the first book!

I've heard of that book; can't wait to see what you think of it. Not that I need more books on my to-read list, but good stories are always worth adding to the pile!

Is the yarn like Kid Silk Haze? It looks a bit like it and I really love KSH and how soft it is. Do post pictures of the scarf once you get it started!

knit & purl mama - Well that's not such a bad suprise because now you'll have two good knitting books to read!

/vm - I'll definitely post on the book. I tried to crack it open last night, but fell asleep before getting through two pages (not the book's fault!)

The yarn is rather like kidsilk haze. It's different, though, maybe softer or the fine hairs are a little longer. I haven't compared them side by side yet.

ar - Hiya, I sure will!

Teyani - I know! I have have a great pal. :-)

Your a lucky gal getting all of those pressies in the mail. I have read both books, and they are an enjoyable read. Also your new haircut looks great, I wish I was lucky enough to have beautiful hair like you.

Thanks, Sue! Red hair has been and blessing and a curse in my life. Glad to hear that you like both books.
