We watched My Neighbor Totoro this week at my SAP. (Guess whose idea?) And along with this glorious movie was an art project.

The kids are usually nuts over making puffball animals: Chicks, jubjubs, alien space monkeys. This time we made various creatures and totoros! O Totoro, Chu Totoro and Chibi Totoro. You might also notice a soot sprite or two and a few Pokemons. And let's not forget the lone tamagotchi (If you can find all of these I will be highly impressed!)

I bought a bunch of puffball animal kits to make with my nephew at Christmas, and I embarrassingly got more into it than he did, I think!!

I love Totoro! Miyazaki rocks! I never have been a fan of anime, but Miyazaki's films are in a world of their own. Interestingly enough, in the movie Children of Men there were a few Miyazaki moments; such as when a deer runs through the halls of an abandoned elementary school. (If you haven't seen Children of Men, you must see it!)

I am so tempted to make the Totoro knit hat for myself, but I think I'm just not cool enough to wear it!

I can't identify any of them, but they are certainly cute!
