Confessions of loving cat owner

Gunter I love my little cat Gunter, but sometimes I feel like he puts too much pressure on me. You see he's not an ordinary cat, but I suppose most people might say that about their pets. The thing that sets him apart from other cats is his utter devotion to me. He's really quite more like a dog: he follows me around, waits for me by the door, sits by my feet, etc.

The thing that has really been getting to me lately is that almost no matter what I am doing he always there just staring at me waiting for me to look at him. It's kind of creepy and it's a heavy burden know that his world really revolves around me. That he's just there waiting. Like right now if I look down he's going to be there looking at me.

Yep.

TeenyIt's lovely that we've bonded so, but, correct me if I am wrong, don't cats normally have a lot more going on in their inner lives? They're investigating, hiding, lording around the house. My other baby cat, Teeny seems to keep herself more than occupied: she creeps, she sleeps, she knocks things over. Gunter, He's just waiting, lurking, hoping..... Well...... he is a cat afterall so sometimes he forgets that he's waiting and falls asleep. But he's there. I just don't want to disappoint him, but I can't pay attention to him all the time.

for the love of cats... I too am a cat lover... ours just chase and play (and continue bringing the ball and dropping it at our feet.. they are wise beyond our understanding - and just kittens still!
Your new panta looks yummyy the way - I have not yet gotten brave enough to do the one-two - llama! :-)

How funny to see similar *models* of our two cats here! Both of ours are boys, but the same colors as yours. Our kitties are very independent and I'm the one always trying to make them get cozy! Our orange tabby, Griffun, loves to cuddle once in awhile and only under the covers and when I was asleep already. Then he purrs like a huge machine! Who woulda thought he even cared judging by the rest of the time! Our black cat, Bobbie aka Batman, has a flatish face with big fangs that always show. No kidding, he is a bat! He sleeps upside down lying on the floor with his arms up on his chest and his fangs out! They know when we are even thinking about them, though, Bobbie came up onto my lap as I was typing this. I am now warm and cozy!! Love your panta, going to make DD one. Thanks

Pattern: Ice Princess Panta

For a long time now I have been wanting for make something to match the fingerless mitts I made with Cayli's gorgeous home-grown, hand-dyed, handspun that she gifted me with the holiday season before last . I had some left over still but wasn't sure about the yardage. However, I had a vision of making a head band, as I find them cute and convenient for a gal that wears her hair up in the winter. And they hardly take any yarn. Originally I wanted to make a headband like the cabled panta I made before, but the gauge was all wrong. So I improvised something late the Saturday night. Golden Gloves

So let me just start out by saying that I didn't win my match at the Syracuse Golden Gloves, but I did have a good time, a good fight and learned a great deal. We left Ithaca before noon on friday. There were 11 fighters plus coaches riding up together in a van from GIAC. It was crowded, but fun. The guys and gals from my gym are good natured and easy going so sitting hip to hip was not uncomfortable at all. When we arrived at the fairgrounds in Syracuse, we were able to weigh in right away. After the numbers were recorded the organizers looked to find matches in your weight and experience class (coaches kind of RSVP their fighters). It turned out that I didn't have one which really bummed me out, but with the weigh ins over there was something really important to catch up on: Eating. We all went out to lunch and then came back to the fairgrounds. If you were matched up, you had to see the doctor. It turned out that while I was gone someone my weight had registered. So I was se

I Spy Handknits

Welcome to "I Spy Handknits" on Kung Fu Knitting. I love seeing people walking around in their hand knits and thought this would be a good space to document it. My real intention is to get pictures and stories from random people in my community, but let me tell you, sometimes I feel a little bit freaky walking up to complete strangers and asking them about their sweaters and such.
